Naturally full of character.

Raffia is a plant-derived fibre valued for its lightweight feel, breathability and natural texture. The subtle variations in every weave are part of its character. Naturally supple, it gives the hat a softer, more relaxed feel than traditional straw.

It started with the flies.

I wanted to enjoy days outside without constantly swatting flies or giving up wearing a hat I loved. So I brought the two together: a beautiful raffia hat and a fly veil, always within reach.

A few things to know

Can the veil be removed?

Yes. The veil is completely removable and is not permanently stitched to the hat. Wear it gathered around the crown, draw it down when needed, or remove it entirely.

How does the hat fit?

The Veil Hat has an internal ribbon that allows you to adjust the fit. Gently tighten and tie the ribbon for a more secure feel, or loosen it for a more relaxed fit.

How should I care for my hat?

Keep your hat dry and avoid crushing or folding it. Spot clean gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then allow to air-dry naturally away from direct heat. Store it flat in a cool, dry place to help maintain the brim's shape.

Will every hat look exactly the same?

Natural raffia has subtle variations in colour, texture and weave. These differences are part of the material's character and mean each hat may vary slightly from the photographs shown.
